Motorcycle Tours South Africa offers exclusive, escorted motorcycle tours throughout South Africa using current model BMW 650cc (F650GS) and 1200cc (R1200GS) motorcycles. Much of the tours is on tar and the majority of our clients bring a partner.

We ensure that your motorcycle tour of South Africa will leave you with many happy memories and have chosen the most beautiful and interesting regions of South Africa, so that at the end of your tour, you will have gained a new appreciation of this wonderful country. Our overnight stops have been selected to allow you the maximum opportunity to refresh, relax and enjoy the surrounding area.

Organize Your Own Tour

If you would like to organize your own tour or to have us organize one for you, we are more than happy to do so. To this end, we hire motorcycles with unlimited kilometres.

Partners

We understand that not all our clients wish to ride the full tour pillion so if there are a minimum of eight bikes per tour, we provide a backup bus in which pillion and non riding clients may enjoy the scenery.

Our Tours

Each of our tours have been created to give our clients a comprehensive appreciation of the scenery, history and wildlife of South Africa whilst still enjoying international standard accommodation at each of our overnight stops.

Our Overnight Accommodation

We have chosen our overnight accommodation carefully, being bikers ourselves. All have either three or four star TGCSA (Tourism Grading Council of South Africa) ratings and are therefore exceedingly comfortable with good food and a wide range of amenities.

Our accommodation varies from cozy country lodges to chalets right on the beach (at Tsitsikamma, right).

Motorcycle Touring in South Africa

South Africa calls itself a 'World in One Country', which is not far from the truth. Its regions range from tropical rainforest through majestic mountains to semi desert.

The country's coastline offers magnificent scenery, wide empty beaches, dune forest and rugged cliffs.

The country's wildlife is legendary - the big five, stupendous birding, coral reefs, challenging angling and much more.

The weather is fine for most of the year with clearly defined seasons. The western Cape can be cool and wet in winter and the rest of the country may have occasional afternoon thunderstorms in summer but for the rest, the weather is perfect biking weather.

Finally, the roads. South Africa's roads are in excellent condition, empty in the rural areas and allow for a full appreciation of the surrounding scenery.
