Terms and Conditions
Reservations and confirmation of booking:
- Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of a 50% deposit of the full tour price per person excluding airfares.
- Upon receipt of the deposit and signed booking form, the booking will be confirmed in writing and all the necessary arrangements carried out.
Payments:
- Payments are to be made direct to Motorcycle Tours S.A. Only once payment of deposit has been received from the client will the booking be confirmed.
- Full payment will be required from the agent or client twenty-one (21) days before departure date.
- Please contact Motorcycle Tours S.A for banking details should you wish to make a direct deposit.

Cancellations:
Please note that tours are subject to a minimum of 8 bikes and as such, cancellations by any party that affects this minimum requirement will be subject to penalties to ensure that the remaining parties can continue with the tour.
Cancellations must be made in writing by fax or e-mail and will take effect on the date of receipt by the Motorcycle Tours S.A booking office. The following penalties will apply on receipt of a cancellation from clients:
- Over 45 days prior to departure full refund of deposits.
- One to Thirty days prior to departure forfeiture of deposit.
- Less than four pax remaining: Fourteen to thirty days prior to departure forfeiture of deposit only.
Please note that all refunds will be made at the rate of exchange on the day payments were made.
Should Motorcycle Tours SA cancel a confirmed tour prior to the departure date, and then a full refund will be made of all payments and deposits made on behalf of clients for the tour only. Motorcycle Tours SA will not be liable for any other expenses or losses incurred as a result of the cancellation such as airfares, insurance, inconvenience, etc.
If the cancellation falls within the terms of clients travel insurance, the cancellation charges might be refunded by the client's insurance company - less any applicable excess. It is strongly recommended that travel insurance be purchased on booking to cover cancellation, illness, lost baggage etc.
Unused services:
No refund or compensation is payable for any unused accommodation, flight, service or feature booked during a tour nor are these exchangeable or transferable to other tours. Any alterations to the tour or portions of it will be at the client's own expense.
Responsibility:
All arrangements are made and booked on the express condition that Motorcycle Tours SA shall not be responsible for, and shall be exempt from, all liability in respect of any loss, damage, theft, accident, delay, death, illness, injury or inconvenience suffered or sustained by any person, or his/ her luggage, or other property, wherever and howsoever the same may occur. Motorcycle Tours SA shall further not be liable for any consequential loss or damages whatsoever. Motorcycle Tours SA shall not be liable for any loss, delay or costs connected with or arising out of adverse weather conditions, including blocked roads. We recommend you take insurance which, subject to terms, may cover this.
It is furthermore the responsibility of every booking or travel agent to ensure that all clients are made aware of the terms and conditions of Motorcycle Tours SA
Passports, visas and vaccinations:
It is the clients' responsibility to provide valid passports, visas and vaccinations where necessary. Please be aware that some areas of South Africa and Maputaland in particular, are malaria areas and precautions should be taken. Divers should seek the advice of their dive physician as to what prophylactics are compatible with scuba diving.
General:
All clients undertake not to damage their accommodation, and to abide by local regulations. Clients are liable for the cost of any damage or loss and Motorcycle Tours SA shall be entitled to recover costs from the client if necessary before homebound transfer. The party leader shall be liable in the first instance for any claims against the party. Clients undertake not to harm the reputation of Motorcycle Tours SA, or cause offence to other clients or to representatives of Motorcycle Tours SA. The holiday of any client in breach of this undertaking is liable to be terminated and Motorcycle Tours SA shall have no further contractual obligations to that client. If you are prevented from travelling because, in the opinion of any person in authority, you appear to be unfit to travel or likely to offend other passengers, our responsibility for your holiday ceases and no refund or compensation will be paid.
